Round 1: No touch of gloves in this one.  Cerrone rushes in and Pettis lands a solid right hand.  Pettis closes the distance and lands a left hook and right hand.  Cerrone lands a knee.  Cerrone delivers an outside leg kick but Pettis counters with a left hand.  Pettis lands an overhand right.  Pettis lands a kick to the body that hurts Cerrone.  Pettis lands a knee to the body. Pettis works the body with punches.  Pettis lands a kick to the body and Cerrone collapses to the canvas.  Pettis finishes with punches on the ground.  Pettis wins by TKO.

The official time of the stoppage was 2:35 of the first round.
