Vitor Belfort vs. Luke Rockhold

Round 1: No touch of gloves in this one.  Belfort takes the center of the cage.  Rockhold throws a high kick and slips.  He gets back to his feet.  The crowd chants, “Vitor, Vitor…”  Belfort misses with a spinning kick.  Rockhold shoots for a takedown and Belfort stuffs it.  Belfort goes on the offensive and goes after Rockhold.  Rockhold ties him up and they separate. Rockhold steps in with a right hand and Belfort counters with a combination.  He delivers an outside leg kick.  Rockhold steps in with a left hand. Belfort lands a spinning back kick to the face of Rockhold that drops the former Strikeforce champion.  He finishes with a series of punches on the ground rendering Rockhold unconscious.

The official time of the knockout was 2:32 of the first round.
