One fight card that has gained by leaps and bounds as a result of the UFC 151 cancellation is UFC on FX 5. It’s no surprise that fight card is garnering a lot of the UFC 151 fallout, as it is slated for little more than a month from now, which makes it a little easier on the transferring fighters, who have been busy training for the Sept. 1 date.

One bout that has found a home at UFC on FX 5 is a bout that bounced back and forth several times from UFC 150 to UFC 151. That would be the lightweight battle between Dennis Hallman and Thiago Tavares.

The two had been reported to fight at UFC 151 and then moved to UFC 150 – which took place earlier this month in Denver – several times before finally settling on the UFC 151 roster.

With UFC 151 cancelled, Hallman vs. Tavares was forced to move one more time, hopefully for the final time, to the Oct. 5 event in Minneapolis.

UFC on FX 5 features a heavyweight showdown between Travis Browne and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in the main event at the Target Center.
