SACRAMENTO – Edson Barboza was in clear trouble in the first round of his fight with Danny Castillo, but the dynamic striker found his stride to earn a comeback win.

Barboza (13-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) was rocked, cut and nearly choked out by Castillo (16-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) early in the fight, but the lightweight survived for a hard-fought win at Saturday’s UFC on FOX 9 event. Their preliminary-card bout aired on FOX Sports 1 from Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena.
