UFC on FOX 19 medical suspensions: Bamgbose gets up to 180 days, ex-champ Evans 30

Preliminary-card fighter Oluwale Bamgbose emerged from this past Saturday’s UFC on FOX 19 event with the most serious term among nine fighters suspended by the Florida State Boxing Commission.

MMAjunkie today requested and received a list of medical suspensions stemming from the event at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., which was overseen by the FSBC. The event’s main card aired live on FOX following prelims on FOX and UFC Fight Pass.

After a unanimous decision loss to “TUF Brazil 1” winner Cezar Ferreira (9-5 MMA, 5-3 UFC) on the UFC Fight Pass prelims, Bamgbose (6-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) is out 180 days pending a CT scan and is additionally suspended 45 days with 30 days no contact.

Additionally, headliner and ex-champ Rashad Evans (19-5-1 MMA, 14-5-1 UFC) , who was quickly knocked out by onetime title challenger Glover Teixeira (25-4 MMA, 8-2 UFC), is benched for 30 days following his second consecutive loss in the UFC’s octagon.

UFC on FOX 19 drew an announced attendance of 11,273 to Amalie Arena with a total live gate of $1,057,000.
