UFC middleweight champ Chris Weidman on Vitor Belfort: 'He's becoming like a horse, he's got so much testosterone'

Chris Weidman sat down with the Media during the build up to 175 and talked about the recent rash of drug test failures in the UFC, and he had some harsh words for Vitor Belfort most particularly.

If Chris Weidman has done anything with regularity as UFC champion, it's come out against performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). Once again, ahead of his fight with Lyoto Machida, TRT, steroids, and drug test failures are at the forefront of the MMA news world. And as such, Weidman was more than willing to talk about the recent failures and how he feels about the current testing climate in the UFC. Here's what he had to say, when asked if the athletic commissions and the UFC were currently doing enough to prevent PEDs:

I feel like it, hopefully is just going to be the begginning of what's been going on. I feel terrible, you know, Chael came out with his first statement, he got completely on my side, I think. I could understand where he was coming from. Vitor, Wanderlei, I wasn't on their side. I think they're obviously doing something. And Vitor got tested, he was way over on the TRT or whatever it is. But, Chael I felt bad for.

Then those second tests came and it's just, like, I still love Chael to death, but it just kind of opens up your eyes with what some guys could be doing. And it pissed me off. So, I want guys to be tested as much as possible; blood tests, whatever can be done.

Considering that Belfort is still among the top contenders for the 185 lb strap, much of Weidman's anger over PED use, appears to be pretty focused on "The Phenom." He held little back when asked how he felt about the possibility of fighting Belfort sometime in the future:

You know, it's hard for me to even think about Vitor at this point, but if I'm fighting Vitor, he's gonna be tested. He's been caught twice now, he looks... Last time I seen him I saw on the back, right by his shorts, there was, like, a little tail hanging out. He's becoming like a horse, he's got so much testosterone. I guess that wasn't funny. I think he needs to be tested as much as possible if he's been known to fail tests.

Weidman also talked about the upcoming TUF Finale bout for his teammate Eddie Gordon, as well as Chael Sonnen's weighty punishment from the UFC and Fox, and about whether he's ever felt outside pressure to take steroids or any other performance enhancer.
