Todd Duffee vs Phil DeFries UFC 155UFC heavyweight fighter Todd Duffee is battling a rare nerve disorder that is keeping him out of the Octagon, according to a report on Wednesday evening.

UFC Tonight reported that Duffee was diagnosed with Parsonage-Turner Syndrome, a condition that disrupts motor skills. The fighter discovered he had the condition six months ago.

Recovery for such a disorder typically lasts anywhere from 18 to 24 months, according to the report.

Duffee, however, is looking to come back in even less time than that, telling the FOX Sports 1 program that he targets a return to fighting in September or October of this year.

The heavyweight is rehabilitating on his own, and he should know more information about a timeline for his return in the next couple of months.

Duffee last competed in the Octagon at UFC 155 in December of 2012. In the fight, Duffee earned a first-round technical knockout of Phil De Fries.
