UFC heavyweight Christian Morecraft was arrested this past weekend and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence in Hyannis, Mass.

According to the Barnstable-Hyannis Patch (Mass.) website, Morecraft was stopped by police near 480 Main Street in Hyannis on Saturday. He was subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving so as to endanger, speeding and driving with no license in possession. According to MMAJunkie.com, Morecraft was due in court on Sept. 4, but police could not confirm whether the fighter was present that day.

Morecraft, a 25-year-old Massachusetts native, has compiled a 1-3 record in four UFC appearances. The 6-foot-6 heavyweight last appeared at UFC on FX 1 in January, where he was knocked out by Pat Barry in the opening frame. Morecraft has also suffered Octagon defeats to Matt Mitrione and Stefan Struve, with his lone UFC victory coming against Sean McCorkle at UFC Fight Night 24 in 2011.
