UFC Fight Week Schedule Kicks Off Wednesday, Leads Up to UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman

UFC-162-posterWith UFC 162 just around the corner, the UFC  and City of Las Vegas are getting ready to celebrate with UFC Fight Week, presented by Ultimate Poker. From July 3-6, some of the hottest locations around Vegas will host UFC themed events filled with lots of fighter appearances. The full schedule of events is listed below.

Fans on Twitter are encouraged to join in on the excitement by following @UFC and using the hashtag #UFCFightWeek. Special giveaways and contests, including an Ultimate Poker scavenger hunt with a grand prize Harley-Davidson, will also be announced via the UFC’s Twitter throughout the week. Wednesday, July 3
1 p.m. – UFC Open Workouts
XS (Inside Encore at Wynn), 3131 S Las Vegas Blvd.
Stars from the upcoming UFC 162 card including Anderson Silva, Chris Weidman, Frankie Edgar, Charles Oliveira, Dennis Siver and Cub Swanson will host a workout for fans.
*Free and open to public (all ages).

5 p.m. – UFC Community Day in partnership with Zappos and Boys Town Nevada
Learning Village, 727 Fremont Street (*Do not disclose address to public; for media only)
Representatives from Zappos and the UFC including UFC Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin, and fighters Carlos Condit, Urijah Faber, Phil Davis, Luke Rockhold, Joseph Benavidez and Daniel Cormier will provide shoes to children from Boys Town Nevada.
*Closed to public; Media invited to attend.

Thursday, July 4
11 a.m. – UFC 162 Press Conference
MGM Grand, Main Lobby, 3799 Las Vegas Blvd.
UFC president Dana White and stars from the upcoming UFC 162 card including Anderson Silva, Chris Weidman, Frankie Edgar and Charles Oliveira, Tim Kennedy, Roger Gracie, Mark Munoz, and Tim Boetsch will answer questions from media and fans about the upcoming fight.
*Free and open to public.

1 p.m. – UFC Pool Party with Octagon Girls
Liquid Pool at Aria, 3730 S Las Vegas
Fourth of July pool party hosted by UFC Octagon Girls® and fighters with a DJ.

6 p.m. – UFC Downtown
Fremont Street Experience – Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, Golden Gate Casino & Hotel, The D Las Vegas and El Cortez Hotel & Casino
UFC fighters and Octagon Girls will sign autographs and take photos with fans at locations on Fremont Street experience.  Appearances are listed at UFC.com/FightWeek.

8:30 p.m. – Three Days Grace concert, presented by Bud Light
Fremont Street Experience, 425 Fremont Street
UFC light heavyweight Chael Sonnen will kick off a free concert for fans under the Viva Vision canopy at Fremont Street Experience.

Friday, July 5
10 a.m. – UFC Fan Expo
Mandalay Bay Convention Center, 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd.
Activities at the two-day UFC Fan Expo include Q&A sessions with fighters and talent, autograph and photo sessions, grappling competitions and vendor booths. A complete schedule of main stage activities and fighter autograph and photo sessions is available at UFCFanExpo.com.

4 p.m. – UFC 162 Weigh-In
Mandalay Bay Events Center, 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd.
UFC 162 fighters will official weigh-in prior to Saturday night’s event at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
*Free and open to public.

5:30 p.m. – TUFF-N-UFF Tournament & Pre-Party
South Point Hotel & Casino, 9777 S Las Vegas Blvd.
The TUFF-N-UFF “Festibrawl” pre-party includes food, drinks and live music.  UFC fighters Gray Maynard, Travis Browne, Clay Guida and Eric Perez will sign autographs and watch the fight with fans.

6 p.m. – UFC Party
Lagasse’s Stadium, The Palazzo Resort, 3325 S Las Vegas Blvd.
UFC fans will have the opportunity to join UFC fighters, Octagon Girls and UFC Hall of Famers for an intimate party while enjoying hors d’œuvres created by chef Emeril Lagasse. The event will be hosted by UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, UFC Hall of Famers Chuck Liddell, Matt Hughes, and Forrest Griffin, welterweight Carlos Condit, heavyweight Daniel Cormier, lightweight Donald Cerrone, lightweight Josh Thomson, middleweight Luke Rockhold, light heavyweight Phil Davis, welterweight Tyron Woodley, host of Best of Pride Fighting Championships Kenda Perez, model Rachelle Leah, and Octagon Girls Chrissy Blair and Vanessa Hanson.
