UFC Fight Night 99 bonuses: With no 'Fight of the Night,' which 4 fighters took home $50,000?

BELFAST, Northern Ireland – Jack Marshman, Kevin Lee, Abdul Razak Alhassan and Justin Ledet each earned $50,000 bonuses at today’s UFC Fight Night 99 event.

Each fighter took home “Performance of the Night” awards. No “Fight of the Night” honors were given out. UFC officials announced the winners following the event, which MMAjunkie attended.

The first fighter from Wales signed to the UFC, Marshman (21-5 MMA, 1-0 UFC) picked up a huge win in his UFC debut with a TKO of streaking middleweight Magnus Cedenblad (14-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) in the second round. Marshman, a former Cage Warriors champion, looked good on the feet and like he might be a new contender in the division. After getting his hand raised, he called for the UFC to bring a card to his home country for the first time.

Lee (14-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) had been fired up all fight week. At Friday’s ceremonial weigh-ins, he needed to be held back from going after Magomed Mustafaev (13-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC). When their lightweight fight started, he was glaring across at Mustafaev. And once things got going he was on a roll, landing takedowns and frustrating the Dagestani fighter. Late in the second, Lee locked up a rear-naked choke and that was all she wrote. When he got on the microphone, he called two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor, just for good measure.

Ledet (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) is a former boxer, and as such it came as a surprise to many when he put Mark Godbeer (11-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) away with a choke. The submission kept the heavyweight Texan unbeaten, and he called for a fight on the UFC’s February card in Houston.

It wasn’t a super pretty fight, but Alhassan (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) was impressive in his preliminary card opener against Dublin’s Charlie Ward (2-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC). In a short slugfest, Alhassan stayed unbeaten and put Ward away with a 53-second knockout.

UFC Fight Night 99 took place at SSE Arena Belfast in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The entire event streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
