UFC Fight Night 98 reactions: Winning and losing fighters on social media

Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums and, perhaps most importantly, social-media platforms.

Fighters interact with fans, each other and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes.

Following Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 98 event in Mexico City several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters.

Quiero compartirles algo escrito por mi maestro Raul Arvizu Esto hizo mi dia de hoy ????. – Tengo varias cosas que decir pero primero quiero felicitar a Henry "Bure" Briones, todo lo que se le puede pedir a un peleador mexicano es que deje todo en la jaula, Henry hizo eso y más, algo que nos ha ayudado a crecer como equipo es la unidad, hermandad que hay entre nosotros. Toda la familia entram estamos orgullosos de Henry Briones. En el tercer round en la esquina le pedi que fuera para enfrente, que tenia que dejar todo y asi fue, estaba avanzando mientras lo conectaban y tirando sus propios golpes exponiéndose sin miedo todo para buscar su golpe , de verdad un honor estar en la esquina de un peleador de este tipo. Henry es de mis primeros estudiantes, de los creyó en mí como entrenador y es excelente compañero con todo el equipo.
