UFC Fight Night 95 post-fight facts: Roy Nelson sets UFC heavyweight record for cage time

Cristiane Justino kept her 11-year undefeated streak alive on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 95 when she defeated promotional newcomer Lina Lansberg by second-round TKO in the FS1-televised headliner at Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil.

“Cyborg” (17-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) was again simply too much for her opponent. She bloodied and bruised Lansberg (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) before finishing the fight and completing a 13-bout card that featured seven stoppages.

The UFC-Reebok Athlete Outfitting payout for the event totaled $135,000.

Debuting fighters went 1-1 at the event.

Eric Spicely, Vicente Luque, Erick Silva and Luan Chagas earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 95 fight-night bonuses.

UFC Fight Night 95 drew an announced attendance of 8,410. No live gate was announced.

Betting favorites went 6-6 on the card. One fight had even odds.

Total fight time for the 13-bout card was 2:20:02.

Main card

Cristiane Justino

Justino extended her unbeaten streak (17-0 with one no-contest) to 18 fights. She hasn’t suffered a defeat since her pro debut in May 2005.

Justino has earned 15 of her 17 career victories by knockout. That includes both of her UFC wins. She’s stopped her past 12 opponents with strikes.

Lansberg had her six-fight winning streak snapped for her first defeat since December 2012

Lansberg has suffered both of her career losses by knockout.

Phillipe Nover and Renan Barao

Renan Barao (34-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC) improved to 1-1 since he moved up to the UFC featherweight division in May 2016.

Phillipe Nover (11-7-1 MMA, 1-5 UFC) fell to 1-2 since he returned to the UFC for a second stint in May 2015.

Nover has suffered six of his seven career losses by decision.

Roy Nelson (22-13 MMA, 9-9 UFC) has earned eight of his nine UFC victories by knockout.

Antonio Silva (19-10-1 MMA, 3-7-1 UFC) fell to 1-6-1 in his past eight UFC appearances. He has just three victories in his past 12 fights overall.

Silva suffered three consecutive losses for the first time in his career.

Silva has suffered nine of his 10 career losses by knockout.

Francisco Trinaldo and Paul Felder

Francisco Trinaldo’s (21-4 MMA, 11-3 UFC) seven-fight UFC winning streak in lightweight competition is the second-longest active streak in the division behind Tony Ferguson (eight).

Paul Felder(12-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) suffered the first stoppage loss of his career.

Spicely (9-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has earned seven of his nine career victories by stoppage.

Thiago “Marreta” Santos (13-5 MMA, 5-4 UFC) suffered the first submission loss of his career.

Godofredo Pepey

Godofredo Pepey (13-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC) has earned 12 of his 13 career victories by stoppage. He’s earned 11 of those wins in the first round.

Pepey has earned four of his five UFC victories by first-round stoppage.

Mike De La Torre (14-6 MMA, 2-3 UFC) has suffered four of his six career losses by submission.

Michel Prazeres

Michel Prazeres (21-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has earned all five of his UFC victories by decision.

Prazeres has fought to a decision in his past eight contests.

Prazeres has completed 29 takedowns in his seven UFC appearances. He’s landed at least one takedown against all seven of his UFC opponents.

Gilbert Burns (11-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) has suffered both of his career losses by decision.

Rani Yahya

Rani Yahya’s (23-8 MMA, 8-2 UFC) four-fight UFC winning streak in bantamweight competition is tied with Cody Garbrandt and Jimmie Rivera for the second longest active streak in the division behind champ Dominick Cruz (five).

Yahya has earned five of his eight UFC victories by decision.

Yahya’s seven takedowns landed marked a single-fight record for his 18-fight UFC/WEC career. His previous high was six vs. Takeya Mizugaki at WEC 48.

Michinori Tanaka (11-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) has suffered both of his career losses by decision.

Jussier Formiga

Jussier Formiga’s (19-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) five victories in UFC flyweight competition are tied for fourth most in divisional history behind champ Demetrious Johnson (10), Joseph Benavidez (nine) and John Lineker (six).

Formiga has earned four of his five UFC victories by decision.

Dustin Ortiz (15-6 MMA, 4-4 UFC) suffered back-to-back losses for the first time in his career.

Ortiz has suffered all six of his career losses by decision.

Ortiz failed to complete a takedown for the first time in his eight-fight UFC career.

Erick Silva

Erick Silva (19-7 MMA, 7-6 UFC) improved to 3-3 in his past six fights.

Silva has earned all seven of his UFC victories by stoppage.

Silva’s seven stoppage victories in UFC welterweight competition are tied for fifth most in divisional history behind Matt Hughes (11), Matt Brown (11), Thiago Alves (nine) and Josh Koscheck (eight).

Silva’s five submission victories in UFC welterweight competition are tied with Hughes and Gunnar Nelson for second most in divisional history behind Chris Lytle (six).

Silva’s has been awarded seven fight-night bonuses for UFC welterweight bouts, tied with Carlos Condit for second most in divisional history behind Lytle (10).

Luan Chagas (14-2-1 MMA, 0-1-1 UFC) had his 10-fight unbeaten streak snapped for his first defeat since April 2013.
