UFC Fight Night 85: Neil Magny vs. Hector Lombard video highlights

Hector Lombard is a scary man and he reminded why in the first round of his bout with Neil Magny.

Magny (18-4 MMA, 11-3 UFC) wasn’t willing to go away, however, and stormed back in Round 2 before finishing Lombard (34-5-1 MMA, 3-3 UFC) by TKO at the 0:46 mark of Round 3.

The welterweight bout co-headlined today’s UFC Fight Night 85 main card at Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on the same channel and UFC Fight Pass.

Lombard blitzed Magny in the first round, seemingly on his way to a quick TKO victory. Magny was able to ride out the horrific spot, in part because the referee gave him every possible opportunity to stay in the fight.

A badly fatigued Lombard had little to offer the rest of the way, eating punch after punch after Magny took his back in Round 2 and then being stopped when the situation repeated itself – this time with Magny locking in a mounted triangle – in Round 3.
