UFC Fight Night 83 bonuses: Cerrone, Camozzi, Murphy, Faszholz take home $50,000

PITTSBURGH – Donald Cerrone, Chris Camozzi, Lauren Murphy and Kelly Faszholz each earned $50,000 fight-night bonuses at Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 83 event. Cerrone and Camozzi took home “Performance of the Night” bonuses while Murphy and Faszholz won “Fight of the Night.”

UFC officials announced the winners at the post-fight press conference, which MMAjunkie attended.

UFC Fight Night 83 took place at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Cerrone (29-7 MMA, 16-4 UFC) scored a first round triangle choke submission of Alex Oliveira (14-3-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) in the evening’s main event. Cerrone moved up to welterweight for the bout and had to face Oliveira on short-notice after Tim Means was forced out of the originally planned bout. It was bonus number 16 for Cerrone under the Zuffa banner.

Camozzi (23-10 MMA, 8-7 UFC) blasted Joe Riggs (41-17 MMA, 5-7 UFC) with knees in their main card bout. Not only did he score the TKO in only 26 seconds, he broke Riggs’ forearm with the barrage.

Murphy (9-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Faszholz (3-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) battled it out in a bloody bout that ended in a TKO victory for Murphy with just seconds left in the third round.
