SAITAMA, Japan – Myles Jury continued to impress and picked up another signature win for his resume.

Jury (15-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) took out Takanori Gomi (35-10-1 MMA, 4-5 UFC) with a first-round TKO, needing a little more than 90 seconds to get the job done.

The lightweight bout was the co-main event of today’s UFC Fight Night 52 card at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass.

Jury worked some kicks early against the Japanese fan favorite. Gomi defended a takedown attempt in the first minute. But that would be Gomi’s best moment of the fight.

About 85 seconds in, Jury crushed Gomi with a right hand down the middle. Commit fell to the canvas, and Jury was all over him with several rights and lefts to get the stoppage. The end came just 92 seconds into the fight.

“Ive been a fan of Gomi since I was 16. Getting the opportunity fight him, especially here in Japan, is a huge moment in my career,” Jury said. “I want to get that belt one day. Right now, I don’t want to fight anybody. I want to go have some sushi and some sake.”

Jury stayed unbeaten as a pro. Gomi heads back to the loss column and has dropped two of his past three.
