JARAGUA DO SUL, Brazil – MMAjunkie was on scene for today’s official fighter weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night 36, where all 24 fighters on the lineup eventually made weight for Saturday’s card.

In the main event, former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida (20-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) takes on ex-Strikeforce champ Gegard Mousasi (34-3-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at middleweight in a bout that could have title implications. It’s just the second fight at the weight class for Machida, who made 185 pounds without issue.

UFC President Dana White has said that a Machida win could put him next in line for a shot at the 185-pound title, which champion Chris Weidman defends in May against Machida’s countryman, Vitor Belfort.

And in the co-main event, another red-hot Brazilian middleweight, Ronaldo Souza (19-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC), takes on Francis Carmont (22-7 MMA, 6-0 UFC), who is unbeaten in his UFC career. “Jacare” is more than a 5-to-1 favorite against Carmont, a training partner of former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, who will corner him in the fight.

Only featherweight Maximo Blanco (9-5-1 MMA, 1-2 UFC) didn’t make weight on his first attempt. He came in at 147.9 pounds and was given an hour to get down to the 146-pound maximum. But when he returned, he went a pound better and made 145 pounds on the button.

Today’s weigh-ins took place at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil, the same venue that hosts Saturday’s event. The five-fight main card airs on FOX Sports 1 at 10:30 p.m. ET (7:30 p.m. PT) following seven prelims on UFC Fight Pass (7:30 p.m. ET).
