The UFC returns to Brazil on Saturday for UFC Fight Night 36 at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul. Here’s the essential information for the card.

UFC FIGHT NIGHT 36 START TIME: UFC Fight Night 36 takes place Saturday at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The event features seven prelims on UFC Fight Pass at 7:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. PT), followed by four main-card fights on FOX Sports 1 (10:30 p.m. ET).

UFC FIGHT NIGHT 36 BACKGROUND: Former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida (20-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) fights for the second time as a middleweight when he meets former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi (34-3-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) in the main event. Machida’s debut at 185 pounds for a good one – he knocked out Mark Munoz with a head kick in England in October. Mousasi is moving down to middleweight from a longtime home at light heavyweight, himself. UFC President Dana White recently said Machida could find himself next in line for a shot at the middleweight title with a win. The co-main event could have title implications, as well, as Brazilian standout Ronaldo Souza (19-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) looks to stay on a tear against Francis Carmont (22-7 MMA, 6-0 UFC). “Jacare” has won five straight, all by stoppage – with four coming in the first round.
