SINGAPORE – MMAjunkie was on scene for today’s official fighter weigh-ins for “UFC Fight Night 34: Saffiedine vs. Lim,” where all 20 fighters on the lineup made weight for Saturday’s card.

In the main event, former Strikeforce champion Tarec Saffiedine (170 pounds) and South Korean welterweight Hyun Gyu Lim (171) each made weight with no issue, hitting their required marks on the first trip to the scale. Lim sported his trademark sunglasses and smiled while on stage, and Saffiedine wore a more intense look and put his fist next to his opponent’s chin.

The most intense clash came between unheralded promotional newcomer Sean Soriano (145) and Japanese MMA legend Tatsuya Kawajiri (145). While Soriano is a sizable underdog, he had no problem getting in the face of his more experienced opponent, seeking to prove his readiness. Kawajiri didn’t back down from the challenge, and the two stood eye-to-eye with scowls on their face.

However, the ceremony’s biggest cheers were saved for Singapore’s own Royston Wee, a bantamweight who will serve as the country’s first representative to step foot in the UFC octagon.

Today’s weigh-ins took place at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, near Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, which hosts Saturday’s event. The card streams exclusively on UFC Fight Pass, the UFC’s recently launched digital network. A six-fight preliminary card kicks off at 6:30 a.m. ET/3:30 a.m. PT (7:30 p.m. SGT local time), with a four-fight main card starting at 9 a.m. ET.
