Ryan Bader vs. Anthony Perosh

Round 1: Bader takes the center of the cage.  Perosh moves forward and his hit with a right hand.  Bader lands a kick to the body and clinches.  He lands an uppercut and tosses Perosh to the canvas.  Bader lands a series of right hands and lets Perosh up.  Bader lands a big right hand that hurts Perosh.  Perosh answers with a counter right hand.  Perosh rushes in and he slips.  Bader takes advantage and gains top position.  He lands an elbow followed by right hands.  Bader moves to half guard.  Bader continues to work ground and pound.  Perosh rolls and tries to stand.  Bader lands a short right hand.  Perosh gets to his feet and pushes Bader away.  Bader steps in with a stiff jab.  Perosh presses forward.  Bader ties him up and takes him down.  Bader postures up and delivers a big elbow.  Perosh is bleeding from his forehead.  Bader stands and leaps back in with a right hand.  He lands a short elbow. The round ends.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Bader.

Round 2: They touch gloves to start the second frame.  Bader moves forward and lands a right hand.  Perosh lands an outside leg kick and they clinch.  Bader secures a takedown.  Bader moves to side control and delivers a knee to the body.  Bader keeps Perosh on the canvas and lands a short right hand.  Perosh gets back to guard.  Bader stands and drops back into Perosh’s guard while landing a hard right hand.  Bader continues to punish Perosh with short punches and elbows.  Bader lands a right hand and moves to half guard.  He delivers elbows into the side of Perosh.  Perosh’s face is a bloodied and bruised but he makes it through the round.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Bader.  It could have been a 10-8 on some scorecards.

Round 3: Perosh rushes in but misses with his punches.  Bader meets his forward advance with a right hand and takes Perosh down.  Bader works in side control.  He traps Perosh’s right arm and lands a hard punch.  Perosh can’t get out from underneath Bader and Bader is making him pay.  Bader continues to lands short punches from side control.  Perosh rolls and tries to get back to his feet.  He briefly stands only to be takedown.  Bader opens up with a series of punches and hammer fists.  Perosh stands but Bader takes him back to the ground.  Perosh’s face is a mess of blood.  Bader continues to apply pressure.  He stands and delivers hard punches.  The round ends.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-8 for Bader.

The judges scored the fight for Bader by unanimous decision.  The scorecards read 30-27, 30-27 and 30-26.
