UFC Fight Night 29 PosterThe Brazilian Athletic Commission on MMA (CABMMA) on Monday informed MMAWeekly.com that ever fighter on the recent UFC Fight Night 29: Maia vs. Shields fight card was drug tested. All 20 fighters returned negative results, revealing no prohibited substance abuse by any of the athletes.

“The results of these tests did not reveal any illicit drug use, and/or to improve performance, stimulants or substances used to mask the presence of the same by any of the athletes who participated in the ‘UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Shields,’” read an official statement from CABMMA.

UFC Fight Night 29 took place on Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Barueri, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and aired live on Fox Sports 1 in the United States.

Jake Shields won a split decision victory over Demian Maia in the night’s five-round welterweight main event. Dong Hyun Kim scored a stunning come-from-behind knockout victory over Erick Silva in the co-main event.
