Dylan Andrews vs. Papy Abedi

Round 1: Abedi takes control of the Octagon, but neither fighter lands much in the opening minute and a half. Abedi finally fires off a couple punches to set up a takedown attempt, which he eventually gets, planting Andrews on his back, and immediately going to work from side control. Andrews regains his feet and takes Abedi down, but Abedi is also immediately back to his feet, pressing Andrews up against the fence and then tripping him to the canvas. Abedi goes to work from inside Andrews’ half guard, quickly passing to north-south, looking for a guillotine choke. Andrews defends and uses the moment to regain his feet, but Abedi puts him right back to the mat and locks on a guillotine. Andrews defends and reverses just before the round ends. Round 2: Andrews comes out firing with straight rights, but doesn’t really land much. Abedi remains patient, looking for an opening. They trade a few one-off punches and kicks for the first couple minutes of the round before Andrews finally clinches up. they separate and Abedi lands a heavy punch, and forces Andrews to the mat, immediately going to work from Andrews’ half guard, grounding and pounding him. Abedi has Andrews up against the fence, drives a knee to the body and then lands a couple big left hands. Andrews is in trouble here, Abedi mounting some serious damage before again going after the guillotine choke. He uses the hold to take side control, but Andrews slips out and brings the fight back to standing and presses Abedi to the fence to end the round. MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Abedi

Round 3: Andrews finally lands the right hand, but Abedi clinches and presses him into the fence. Neither fighter does much on the fence, however, and they are restarted in the center of the Octagon. Andrews lands another right hand and follows with some uppercuts, dropping Abedi to the canvas. Andrews keeps firing the punches and the referee stops the fight. Amazing come from behind victory for Andrews!
