Round 3: The two fighter hug it out at the beginning of the round.  Figueroa looks tired to begin the final five minute set.  Not much action in the first minute and a half, but then the two engage in an exchange that gets the crowd going.  Fight goes to the ground and McDonald works from Figueroa’s guard.  The two get back to the feet, but McDonald gets a strong takedown.  Figueroa is able to reverse it and lands in side control.  After a transition to McDonald’s guard, Figueroa stands and tells his opponent to get up.  McDonald with a good shot to Figueroa’s right side and gets a takedown a short while later.  The round ends with McDonald in his opponent’s guard and MMA Weekly scores it 30-27 for McDonald.
