ALBANY, N.Y. – It took a while for Derrick Lewis to find his inner-beast. But when he did, it didn’t take him long to finish Shamil Abdurakhimov.
Lewis (17-4 MMA, 8-2 UFC) was noticeably cautious and gave up early rounds before a takedown set up a TKO stoppage of Abdurakhimov (17-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at the 3:42 mark of the fourth round.
The heavyweight bout was the main event of today’s UFC Fight Night 102 event at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
