Round 1: Yahya is dancing around a lot, trying to stay away from the power in Brown’s hands. Yahya goes for a takedown, doesn’t quite get it, but gets into a scramble with Brown. Brown tries to stand up. Yahya secures an arm-in guillotine attempt, but Brown escapes the choke. Yahya is clinging to Brown as Brown tries to free himself, but Yahya starts firing punches from half guard. They keep fighting for position until the bell sounds. Round 2: Brown comes out putting the pressure on Yahya and rocks him with a couple solid punches. Yahya jumps into Brown’s grasp, nearly securing a guillotine, but Brown puts him down on his back, landing in Yahya’s guard. They scramble and get back to their feet where Brown presses Yahya into the cage, but quickly separates and starts headhunting. Brown lands a right hook, but Yahya throws a couple kicks, trying to keep Brown at bay. Yahya starts dancing away from Brown, who looks to be slowing down considerably. They lock up, Brown tying up Yahya’s head and arm, but doesn’t have enough time to do anything before the bell. MMAWeekly.com scores round two 10-9 for Yahya.

Round 3: Yahya clinches and then grabs a leg and puts Brown on his back. Yahya starts working from top position in Brown’s half guard. Yahya throws a few punches, but works around to Brown’s back, sinking his hooks in, then locking on a body triangle. Brown goes to his knees and Yahya opens up with punches to the head. Brown arches up and back, but Yahya maintains top position on Brown’s side and back, dropping punches down. Referee Mario Yamasaki stops the action and restarts it standing, warning Yahya for punches to the back of the head. Brown briefly gets ahold of Yahya and delivers a couple of knees, but Yahya reverses position and puts Brown on his back, finishing the fight with ground and pound at the bell.
