UFC 206 attendance: Event nears highest attendance in UFC's Air Canada Centre history

TORONTO – Saturday’s UFC 206 event drew an announced attendance of 18,057 for a live gate of $2,429,300 CAD (approx. $1,843,101 USD).

UFC officials announced the tallies following the event, which MMAjunkie attended.

UFC 206 took place at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, and the main card aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. Max Holloway (17-3 MMA, 13-3 UFC) claimed the UFC interim featherweight title in the evening’s main event with an impressive third-round stoppage of Anthony Pettis (19-6 MMA, 6-5 UFC).

UFC 206 marked the organization’s 22nd event in Canada. The country’s first, UFC 83, took place in 2008.

UFC 206 was also the fifth UFC event in Toronto history and the fourth at Air Canada Centre (UFC 129, the UFC’s first stadium show, took place at Rogers Centre in 2011).

The UFC’s all-time attendance marks at Air Canada Centre include:

  1. “UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida” – 18,303 ($3.9 million)
  2. “UFC 206: Holloway vs. Pettis” – 18,057 ($1.843 million)
  3. “UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort” – 16,800 ($1.9 million gate)
  4. “UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson” – 15,504 ($1.9 million gate)
