NEW YORK – UFC 205 official fighter weigh-ins took place today, and MMAjunkie was on scene for all of the action – and the bizarre turn of events.
The official weigh-ins took place in the Fitzgerald Ballroom of New York’s Affinia Manhattan. They preceded this afternoon’s ceremonial weigh-ins, which take place at nearby Madison Square Garden.
The ceremony did not go exactly according to plan, with Kelvin Gastelum (12-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) never making to the scale, scratching his planned matchup with welterweight Donald Cerrone (31-7 MMA, 18-4 UFC).
Additionally, Thiago Alves (21-10 MMA, 13-7 UFC) missed weight in his first try at making lightweight, and it forced Jim Miller (27-8 MMA, 16-7 UFC) to add weight before hitting the scale.

UFC 205 takes place Saturday at Madison Square Garden. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
