Planning to attend UFC 199 in June? You can buy your tickets starting this week.
UFC 199 takes place June 4 at The Forum in Los Angeles. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
The card features a pair of title fights at the top of the bill.
Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold (15-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) defends his title for the first time in a rematch with former champ Chris Weidman (12-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC). And Dominick Cruz (21-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) will put his bantamweight belt on the line against heated rival Urijah Faber (33-8 MMA, 9-4 UFC) in the co-main event.
Rockhold is ranked No. 1 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA middleweight rankings. Weidman is No. 2. Rockhold also is No. 8 on the pound-for-pound list to Weidman’s No. 11. Rockhold handed Weidman his first career loss at UFC 194 this past December, stopping him with a fourth-round TKO to take the 185-pound title.
Cruz is ranked No. 1 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA bantamweight rankings, while Faber is No. 5. Cruz also is No. 3 on the pound-for-pound chart. He meets Faber for a third time. The two have split their previous meetings. Faber beat Cruz in their first meeting more than nine years ago in a WEC featherweight title fight. But Cruz beat “The California Kid” in a 2011 rematch, and now they will fight once again for Cruz’s 135-pound belt, which he won in January with a split-decision victory over T.J. Dillashaw.
Ticket prices for the event have not yet been announced. However, tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT local time in Los Angeles) via Ticketmaster. UFC.com e-newsletter subscribers can buy their seats on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET, and UFC Fight Club members can purchase tickets on Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET.
