UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez was supposed to face Fabricio Werdum at UFC 180 , but had to sit out due to injury and watch Werdum defeat Mark Hunt to become the heavyweight interim champ. Velasquez battles Werdum in the main event at UFC 188 in Mexico City to determine who will claim the title.
