Former UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva took part in a media conference call to promote the upcoming “super fight” against Nick Diaz at UFC 183 in January.

Although it may not have been as quote worthy as the Nick Diaz conference call which took place several days ago, Anderson Silva's media call on Friday afternoon featured a variety of interesting notes regarding the former champion's recovery process as well as how he feel about fighting again.

Silva divulged to the media members on the conference call that he had never contemplated retirement, even though his family would have preferred that he give up fighting after that gruesome injury. He also mentioned that he is perfectly confident in his kicking ability not that he has been cleared by a doctor and is looking forward to putting on the "most exciting UFC fight ever" against Diaz.

UFC 183 takes place January 31 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
