'UFC 179 Embedded,' episode No. 3: Catching pigeons, book club, McGregor's bulletproof car

In the third installment of “UFC 179 Embedded,” we get everything from pigeon-catching to book-club recommendations to Conor McGregor‘s arrival in Rio de Janeiro.

The UFC’s online preview series focuses on Saturday’s UFC 179 pay-per-view event at Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro.

In the latest episode, UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and fellow headliner Chad Mendes attempt to stay loose as the fight draws nears. For Aldo it includes a book discussion with UFC 179 co-headliner and fellow Brazilian Glover Teixeira. For Mendes, it includes a trip to the beach with his Team Alpha Male buds – and a sneak attack on the local pigeons.

And, of course, we see the arrival of McGregor, a featherweight contender in town for UFC 179. Immediately recognized at the airport, the Irishman then learns a car with bulletproof windows has been sent to pick him up.
