LAS VEGAS – Saturday night’s UFC 175 event drew an announced attendance of 10,088 and a live gate of $4.4 million.
UFC President Dana White announced the figures at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended.
UFC 175 took place at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, and featured a middleweight title fight between champion Chris Weidman and Lyoto Machida, plus a women’s bantamweight title fight between champ Ronda Rousey and Alexis Davis at the top of the pay-per-view.
Weidman defended his title in a five-round war. Rousey’s fight was a mirror opposite – she stopped Davis in just 16 seconds.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission will verify the figures and is expected to release an official tally next week.
While the number of “comp” or free tickets was not revealed, the figures represent an average revenue of $436.16 per ticket issued.
