LAS VEGAS – MMAjunkie is on scene and reporting live from today’s UFC 170 event.

The card, which features a women’s bantamweight title bout between champion Ronda Rousey and fellow Olympic medalist Sara McMann in the main event, takes place at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Follow along with our round-by-round updates and official results beginning at approximately 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) for the preliminary card and 10 p.m. ET for the main card.

ERNEST CHAVEZ (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) VS. YOSDENIS CEDENO (9-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC)

Round 1 – Cedeno takes the center as Chavez moves laterally on the outside. Cedeno counters a low kick with a nice right hand before scoring a leg kick of his own. Missed spinning kick for Cedeno, and he slips the counter. He looks quicker to start. Big overhand right blocked, but Cedeno follows it up with a sneaky left hand, as well. Cedeno kicks the body, and Chavez is having trouble getting off first. Cedeno with a slapping low kick. He’s switching stances, beaming with confidence. Cedeno just misses a flashy high kick. Chavez finally presses forward and into a clinch, but Cedeno pulls easily away. Two minutes left. Chavez kicks the leg. Cedeno misses on a spinning kick, and Chavez presses froward, catches the leg and pushes him to the floor. Chavez in side control. He tries to push in to a crucifix. Cedeno scrambling underneath, but Chavez steps over into mount. Cedeno turns and exposes his back, but Chavez can’t capitalize. Cedeno crawls to his feet, where the round ends in the clinch. MMAjunkie gives it to Cedeno, 10-9.

Round 2 – Chavez with an early low kick. Cedeno answers with his own. Chavez starting a little quicker. Cedeno lands an overhand right that glances off the top of the head. Low kicks traded. Chavez trying to push, but he’s s till a little behind in terms of speed. Cedeno with another flashy high kick, but Chavez slips it, ties the body and brings the fight to the floor. Side control again, but this time it’s much earlier in the round. Chavez trying to utilize his control, but he’s not posturing up and striking. Instead, he stays tight to the body. He again steps over to mount, but Cedeno has no problem exposing his back and then using the transition to get back to his feet. Chavez maintains the clinch and pushes in from the outside. He lands a few knees, but it’s a stalemate, and referee Chris Tognoni restarts them with less than a minute. Low kick for Cedeno. Chavez holds the center. Round ends there, and MMAjunkie sees it for Chavez, 10-9.

Round 3 – Tognoni warns Cedeno between rounds not to grab the cage or he’ll take a point. Cahvez with an early low kick. He’s got the center again. Cedeno moving laterally, but his volume has completely diminished. Chavez now stalking, moving forward and chopping the leg. Cedeno presses into a clinch and pushes Chavez to the cage, but Chavez turns off and controls from the outside. Cedeno tying up the arms, but there’s not much action, and Tognoni calls for another restart. Less than two minutes. Cedeno needs to press, and he seems to know it, as he rattles off high kicks. Chavez blocks them and continues to stalk. Cedeno lets his hands go in the final seconds, but Chavez ties him up and slows things down. Tighter third round with the late charge from Cedeno, but MMAjunkie likes Chavez, 10-9, awarding him the fight 29-28.

ERIK KOCH (14-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) VS. RAFAELLO OLIVEIRA (17-8 MMA, 2-6 UFC)

Round 1 – Oliveira pulls back on an early low kick but lets it go on a second attempt. Oliveira tries for a leaping knee but gets dropped with a straight. He gets right back up. Koch scores a straight left shortly after that sends him down again. Koch immediately follows. He’s standing in Oliveira’s guard and just raining down bombs. Oliveira’s head bouncing off the canvas. Referee Yves Lavigne gives him every chance to recover, but it’s not going to happen. Punches continue to come, and this fight is over.

ZACH MAKOVSKY (18-4 MMA, 2-0 UFC) VS. JOSH SAMPO (11-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC)

Round 1 – Sampo with a quick low kick to start. A second follows. Southpaw Makovsky pumps in a few straight lefts. Makovsky lands a high kick that just catches the chin with his toes. Sampo goes back to the leg. Makovsky shoots quickly on a leg and slams Sampo to the floor. Sampo tries for the neck but lets it go and instead works rubber guard. Nothing there, and he lets it go in favor of full guard. Makovsky postures and quickly passes one leg, but Sampo scrambles and recovers the position. Makovsky stands, but Sampo scrambles up and catches an arm as he looks to change position. Makovsky alertly wiggles it free and settles back in on top. Less than two minutes. Makovsky with a few short punches. He stands and eats an upkick, halting his advance. Sampo scrambles to his feet, and we reset. Makovsky with a clean Superman punch up the middle. Sampo drops for a leg but can’t get it. He’s got some light blood coming from the nose. Knee inside for Makovsky. Round ends on the feet, and MMAjunkie gives it to Makovsky, 10-9.

Round 2 – Makovsky with quick hands to start. Sampo’s nose already bleeding again. Makovsky darting in and out of range. He drops for a leg and again works it to the floor, but Sampo quickly back to his feet. Sampo with a nice Superman, and they trade punches. Spinning backfist for Makovsky. Side kick to the face. He’s throwing everything. Scramble inside, and Makovsky again winds up in top position when they hit the floor. Sampo tries to turn his hips and get to his feet, but Makovsky stays strong on top. Sampo tries to scramble again, but Makovsky snatches his neck. Not there, so Makovsky lets it go, and they reset to the feet. Sampo still looks dangerous, but Makovsky is the busier fighter and having the most success. He pushes inside and scores another late takedown. Samp turns for the arm, but he runs out of time. MMAjunkie scores it for Makovsky, 10-9.

Round 3 – Sampo presses to open, but Makovsky retreats well and stays out of danger. Nice left scores for Makovsky. Sampo is opening up, but Makovsky is very quick and eluding well. Sampo scores with a left as they exchange, and an off-balance Makovsky falls to his back. Sampo presses down and takes top position. Makovsky working to get back to his feet, but Sampo pulls his legs forward and drops him on his back. Makovsky scrambling well and not taking any damage right now. He gets all the way to his feet and pulls away halfway into the final round. Stiff left hand from Makovsky. He’s staying at a safe distance, and Sampo’s corner wants him to press with time winding down. Makovsky drops for a single leg and trips Sampo to the floor. He briefly tries for the back, but Sampo settles on the floor and pulls guard. Couple of sneaky elbows from Sampo from his back, but Makovsky is again on top. Makovsky punching, scoring points. Sampo gets up in the final seconds, and they flurry until the bell. Despite the takedown from Sampo, MMAjunkie gives the third to Makovsky, 10-9, awarding him the fight 30-27.

CODY GIBSON (11-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) VS. ALJAMAIN STERLING (9-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC)

Round 1 – Sterling misses an early low kick. A front kick scores to the face. He’s moving well early but very hyper. He settles down after a few frantic seconds. Gobson holding the center. Sterling using a lot of front kicks to keep space. Gibson punches his way into a takedown. The first effort doesn’t work, but the second does. Sterling crawls quickly up to his feet, punching the ribs all along. Gibson tries to clinch the body, but Sterling gets away. On the restart, Sterling slips a punch and ties the body, eventually dragging Gibson to the floor. Gibson gets full guard and tries to tie up the arms. He turns to his knees and tries to escape, and Sterling controls the neck. Gibson eventually crawls back to his feet, and we reset. Wild punch fro Sterling sees him move into another clinch. Knees traded inside as Sterling pushes Gibson against the fence. Crowd wants action as they jockey against the cage. Round ends there, and MMAjunkie gives it to Sterling, 10-9.

Round 2 – Gibson takes the center and scores with an early low kick. Sterling is quick, but he’s very wild, as well. Into the clinch again. this time, Gibson is able to get outside. Sterling tries to get off the fence, but Gibson is tight inside. Trip for Gibson. Sterling immediately to his knees and back to his feet. Gibson ducks under and grabs a leg, scoring a slamming takedown. Sterling works to a seated position. As he tries to stand, Gibson slips to his back. Sterling alertly turns in and gets to his feet, but he’s completely unable to create and space at all, and Gibson has proved very strong in the clinch. Sterling finally pulls away with a little more than a minute. Scrambling strikes, and Gibson with a smooth transition to the back. Sterling counters and gets to his feet, and Gibson tries to lock in a guillotine. It’s tight, but Sterling survives it. Round ends, and MMAjunkie gives it to Gibson, 10-9.

Round 3 – Sterling kicks low then high. Fight hangs in the balance to start the final round. Sterling looking to strike. He delivers a nice left hand. As he pushes inside, Gibson thinks guillotine, but Sterling elevates him and slams him to the floor. Gibson turns his hips and tries to work up. Sterling works from the front, looking for a D’arce, but Gibson defends. Sterling has to let it go, and they return to the feet. Wild scramble, and Gibson again looks for the guillotine. It’s a mistake, as Sterling is instantly out of it and again takes top position. Two minutes left. Sterling in a high half-mount, and he punches the ribs. Gibson tries to roll, but Sterling rolls with him and takes the back. One minute left. Gibson in a bad spot, and Sterling is looking to attack the neck. He goes for the choke, but Gibson keeps his chin tucked and fights off one arm. Round ends with Sterling on the back, and MMAjunkie gives him the frame, 10-9, awarding him the fight 29-28.

RAPHAEL ASSUNCAO (22-4 MMA, 6-1 UFC) VS. PEDRO MUNHOZ (10-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC)

Round 1 – Assuncao with a quick low kick to start. He flurries with four punches as Munhoz covers. Sharp left scores for Assuncao. Munhoz answers with a low kick. A second follows. Overhand right just misses for Assuncao. Munhoz covering well, not taking a lot of damage, but Assuncao the busier fighter. Spinning kick to the body for Assuncao. Front kicks traded. Assuncao looking very crisp with his hands. Munhoz holding the center, but his low kicks has been his only real weapon early on. Double jab for Assuncao. He tries for a trip that doesn’t come. Assuncao looks confident, but Munhoz isn’t intimidated. One minute left. Assuncao tries to catch the low kick. Perhaps Munhoz will go high instead soon. More low kicks traded. Round ends on the feet, and MMAjunkie gives it to Assuncao, 10-9.

Round 2 – Munhoz immediately back to chopping the leg. The left thigh is very purple already. Assuncao switching stances. Muhoz scores a short right. Assuncao catches a kick and pushes Munhoz back, but Munhoz turns to attack the leg. Assuncao spins through it and starts punching from top position. Ton of heart from Munhoz, who scrambles to his feet, and the crowd applauds the gutsy effort. Sharp jab from Munhoz. Munhoz continues to walk forward. Two minutes left. Assuncao slips on a kick, but he gets back up and quickly scores another takedown. Assuncao on top, looking to punch. Munhoz tries for wrist control, but Assuncao works free and lands a few short elbows. He postures and pounds away until the bell, and MMAjunkie gives Assuncao the round, 10-9.

Round 3 – Sharp leg kick again from Munhoz. No quit in his game. Assuncao continues to look sharp with his hands. Crisp left hand scores. Munhoz wipes his eyes, but there didn’t appear to be a poke. Munhoz continues to wipe the left eye over and over. Assuncao rushes in with a knee to the body. Munhoz still walking forward, looking to engage, but Assuncao is comfortable on the outside and getting the best of the exchanges. High kick scores for Assuncao. Munhoz’s left eye closing, and Assuncao trying to take advantage by attacking on that side. Munhoz still trying to bang, rifling off power punches. But Assuncao is slipping them well and scoring with counters, racking up points. Final minute. Munhoz scores with a right, but Assuncao answers with a flurry. Assuncao scores a takedown in the final seconds, taking the third on the MMAjunkie card, 10-9, and earning the fight 30-27.

ALEXIS DAVIS (16-5 MMA, 3-0 UFC) VS. JESSICA EYE (10-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC)

Round 1 – Davis with an early low kick. Eye answers with a flurry of punches before they move into the clinch. Nothing there, so Eye backs away and resets. Eye’s jab crisp to start. Davis lands a front kick to the face, and they move back into the clinch. Davis looks for a trip that doesn’t come. Stalemate agains in the clinch, and referee Yves Lavigne breaks them apart. Davis working kicks to the leg on the restart, while Eye continues to pop her jab. Eye is the quicker fighter in the early going, and her head movement is much better. Back into the clinch, but that’s not really favoring anyone right now. One minute left. Eye with a few crisp low kicks. Davis shoots smoothly on a takedown and shifts out to side control, but it’s too late for her to take advantage of the position. MMAjunkie gives it to Eye, 10-9.

Round 2 – Davis again working the legs to start. Eye wants to counter with punches over the top. Davis struggling to get inside, and she’s paying the price by eating crisp punches. Finally she does get a takedown and settle into top position with a little less than four minutes. Eye holds tight underneath. Davis on top and in control, but she’s not doing any damage, as Eye keeps her tied up. Eye throwing short punches to the body. Referee Yves Lavigne watching, but right now he sees Davis’ efforts as enough to hold the position. Davis leans over to attack the right arm, but Eye quickly pulls it back inside to safety. One minute left. Not exciting, but it’s very effective for Davis. She wants the neck, but Eye keeps wrist control. Crowd not happy. Eye tries to escape, but Davis is all over her with hammerfists before the end of the round. MMAjunkie gives it to Davis, 10-9.

Round 3 – Fight hangs in the balance. Davis again kicks the legs, and Eye is sharp in her couner punches. Eye catches a front kick but can’t throw her down. Davis definitely wants to get inside, but Eye is striking well and pushing her away to start the third. Nice two-punch combination from Eye. Her punches are crisp. Davis doesn’t have the explosion she needs to get the fight to the floor right now. Halfway mark of the frame. Collar tie, but Eye lands a crisp left hand and backs away. Eye catches a kick but can’t counter. Davis not backing down, but she simply isn’t as quick as Eye, who lands the better strikes each time. Crown comes alive tin the final seconds, and the fighters respond with a flurry. Still, it’s Eye who gets the best of it, and MMAjunkie gives her the round, 10-9, awarding her the fight 29-28. Two of three judges disagree.

STEPHEN THOMPSON (9-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) VS. ROBERT WHITTAKER (11-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC)

Round 1 – Whittaker with a crisp jab to open. Thompson on the outside in his traditional karate stance. Whittaker jab lands again. He’s quick with that early. Thompson kicks the body and legs. Front kick lands for Thompson. He flurries to the body. Whittaker looks strong early, keeping the distance close and not allowing Thompson to kick. Thompson starting to settle in, though, and he lands to the body more and more. Two crisp punches upstairs for Thompson. Whittaker moving forward, but he’s rocked with a crisp right. He crawls up, but Thompson blasts him with another right hand. Whittaker hurt, and Thompson not going to let him off the hook, pouncing with punches. Referee Mario Yamasaki calls it off as Whittaker is taking too much damage.

MIKE PYLE (26-9-1 MMA, 9-4 UFC) VS. T.J. WALDBURGER (16-9 MMA, 4-4 UFC)

Round 1 – Waldburger with an early low kick. Pyle steps in with one of his own. They’re cautious to open. Waldburger presses into a clinch and pushes Pyle to the fence. Waldburger slips on a high kick but gets back to his feet before Pyle can catch him. Punches traded, and Waldburger lead hook is very effective early. Waldburger moves inside, but Pyle trips him to the floor and takes top position. Waldburger wants a sweep, but Pyle shifts out to side control. Pyle with a few knees to the body and short elbows from the top. Waldburger eventually finds some space and scrambles to his feet. Pyle holds a Thai clinch and lands a nice knee inside. Waldburger answers with a late takedown, but MMAjunkie leans toward Pyle, 10-9.

Round 2 – Pyle with a front kick, and he slips the counter. Waldburger settling back in on the feet and looking for that lead left. He settles for chopping the leg. Pyle picks the leg and scores with another takedown. Waldburger turns immediately to the ankle, but Pyle spins through it. Pyle lands a few strikes from the top. Waldburger grabs the neck, but Pyle pushes to side control on the other side to release the pressure. Waldburger keeps scrambling, and he gets back to his feet. Waldburger bleeding from the nose. He eats a knee on the restart, but he’s standing in the pocket and trading. Waldburger digs to the body. He presses forward and moves into the clinch. Pyle defends well against the cage. He slips around to the back and drags the action to the floor, but Waldburger is immediately back on his feet. Waldburger misses a left hand on the restart, and he looks exhausted. They finish on the feet, and MMAjunkie gives it to Pyle, 10-9.

Round 3 – Waldburger starts quickly, realizing he’s down on the cards. Waldburger scores to the legs, but Pyle answers with a stiff right hand. Waldburger lands a kick to the body and then just misses up top. Overhand right for Pyle. Straight right wobbles Waldburger. He shoots in, but Pyle pushes him away. Pyle on the attack. He drops Waldburger with a left, but Waldburger climbs right back to his feet. Pyle in control, but Waldburger isn’t going anywhere. Waldburger shoots in but eats a knee. Pyle latches on to a guillotine. It’s not there, but he rolls to mount and drops a few big elbows. Waldburger is done, but he’s not quitting. Pyle with big punches from the top. Crushing elbows come in, and referee Herb Dean has to step in to stop the damage. Brutal finish.

RORY MACDONALD (16-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) VS. DEMIAN MAIA (18-6 MMA, 12-6 UFC)

Round 1 – Both fighters forward quickly. Maia tries to shoot in, but MacDonald stuffs it. He tries again, and this time MacDonald is on his back. Maia very aggressive to open. MacDonald working well from bottom, but Maia is slowly looking to move into mount. He clears the right leg and then quickly pulls his other over, as well. Maia in control. He lands a few punches from the top. MacDonald tries to buck free, but Maia is all over him. MacDonald continues to scramble, but he can’t quite get free. Maia with elbows from the top. MacDonald works his legs inside for butterfly guard. Still, Maia isn’t going anywhere. MacDonald tries to attack the left arm. He can’t get it, but allows him to stan, and we reset with less than a minute. MacDonald jabs, but he’s bleeding from his nose. Maia willing to stand and trade with him. Round ends on the feet, and MMAjunkie gives it to Maia, 10-9.

Round 2 – MacDonald with a low stance, and he lands a nice right hand. Maia wobbles a bit, but he comes right back with one of his own. Maia shoots in, but MacDonald stuffs it. MacDonald using a lot of front kicks, but Maia having some success with his hands. Maia looks for a takedown, but MacDonald stuffs it again. Maia presses in again, but MacDonald is up to the challenge. Momentum shifting. MacDonald scores a crushing kick to the body. Maia shoots again unsuccessfully. His explosiveness is gone. MacDonald popping a tired Maia with a crisp jab. Maia ducks into a knee. Maia eats a left, and he’s wobbled. Maia blocks a few kicks, but MacDonald is taking over. Maia does land a nice counter left hand. Maia in trouble. He looks exhausted. Crowd starts to chant “Rory!” Maia looking again for a takedown, but he has no power to drive through. Maia grabs hold of a kick and tries for a takedown, but he can’t score it. Stiff right for MacDonald. Maia all heart, but he looks done. Round ends, and MMAjunkie gives it to MacDonald, 10-9.

Round 3 – MacDonald takes the center. He’s busy again to start. Maia ducks into a kick. He wants a takedown, but he’s struggling to find a way to get it there. MacDonald with the low stance, rattling off combinations. His jab is crisp. MacDonald kicks to the body. Maia tries a desperate lunge for a takedown. Somehow, gets in on a leg and holds it until he can wrap the body and elevate, slamming MacDonald to the floor. Little less than three minutes remaining. Maia tough on top. MacDonald works his legs in and pushes Maia to the feet. Maia tries to follow, but a slick sweep sees him tossed aside, and they’re back on the feet. Maia’s left eye is busted up. He keeps trying to shoot, but v won’t have it. Kick to the body for MacDonald. Maia shoots, but MacDonald tosses him aside and tags him with an uppercut. Maia still not backing down. Less than a minute. Maia misses on another shot. MacDonald tees off in the end. Hell of a fight. MMAjunkie sees the final round for MacDonald, 10-9, and gives him the fight 29-28.

Round 1 – Cormier out quickly. Cummins kicks the leg as Cormier stalks. Cummins shoots on a takedown attempt, but it’s not even close. Cummins works into a clinch, but nothing there. Cormier scores with a big right. Cormier looking to box. Left hand scores. Big uppercut follows. Cummins hurt. He’s on his knees. Cormier could take the back but wants nothing to do with it. Punches and punches until referee Mario Yamasaki steps in. Cormier pushes Cummins as he walks away.

RONDA ROUSEY (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) VS. SARA MCMANN (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC)

Round 1 – McMann punching early, and it’s a dogfight. Rousey gets into a clinch and looks fro a toss that doesn’t come. Rousey pushes her to the cage, and McMann rattles off knees and big punches. McMann has landed a few big punches early. Incredible pace to start. Rousey lands a big knee to the liver, and McMann is on the floor. Referee Herb Dean steps in, and the crowd doesn’t like it. McMann was definitely hurt, but she didn’t seem to be done.
