Johny Hendricks UFC 167 Open WorkoutUFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre retained his title on Saturday night at UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks, albeit amidst a swirling cloud of controversy. Many fans and pundits felt he hadn’t earned the split-decision nod that he got over Johny Hendricks, and then, after the fight, he declared he needed to “step away for a little bit,” without clarifying if that meant retirement.

It was a rough fight that earned St-Pierre a 45-day medical suspension, while Hendricks could be sidelined for as much as six months due to concerns over his right knee.

Ali Bagautinov, Gian Villante, and Cody Donovan also face a potential six-month forced benching pending medical clearance for various concerns.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday released the UFC 167 medical suspensions to MMAWeekly.com. UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks took place on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
