chris-weidman-22.jpgOfficial fighter weigh-ins for UFC 165 are set for Sept. 20 at Maple Leaf Square outside the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

The Air Canada Centre then hosts the following night’s UFC 165 card, which features a main-event light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and top contender Alexander Gustafsson. In the co-main event, interim bantamweight champion Renan Barao puts his belt on the line against former WEC champ Eddie Wineland.

The UFC 165 main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook.

The first fighter steps on the scale at 4 p.m. ET local time, and doors open to the public at 3 p.m. The weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

Prior to the weigh-ins, fans can attend a Q&A session with middleweight champion Chris Weidman, who earlier this summer knocked out Anderson Silva to end the longest title reign in UFC history. Weidman puts his title up against Silva in a rematch set for the UFC 168 main event on Dec. 28 in Las Vegas. The Q&A is open to the public, though only UFC Fight Club members will be able to ask Weidman questions at the event.

Doors for the Q&A open to Fight Club members at 2:45 p.m. ET with the Q&A taking place at 3:15 p.m. ET.

The full UFC 165 card includes:

MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)

PRELIMINARY CARD (FOX Sports 1, 8 p.m. ET)

PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook, 6 p.m. ET)

For Chris Weidman, the UFC 175 main event against Lyoto Machida presents an opportunity to begin his era. It wasn't enough for Weidman to win the title while remaining undefeated; he had to enter a second bout with Anderson Silva as the underdog champ. Weidman is still undefeated and can finally emerge from Silva's shadow into the spotlight. Rarely do you see a fighter beat one of the best middleweights in UFC history yet have unanswered questions. Such is the life of Chris Weidman. UFC 175 is his first fight in the Octagon since his knockout of Anderson Silva and subsequent technical knockout in the rematch. With both fights, some critics argued that Weidman got lucky. In the first one, Silva really didn't care and was more interested in trolling the crowd. In the rematch, his leg basically exploded. Both of those critiques might h read news >>

Machida fired off kicks to the body but Weidman was the Terminator in his pursuit of controlling the pace of the action, not to mention the positioning. He was making sure it always looked as though Lyoto was bailing out while he was coming in. Even when "The Dragon" was connecting, and he was early on here. Weidman dipped low for a takedown but the Brazilian expertly avoided it. Back standing, he landed a hard left hook. Weidman sta read news >>
