UFC 164 draws reported 9,178 attendance for $907,116 live gate

bradley-center.jpgMILWAUKEE – Saturday night’s UFC 164 event drew an announced attendance of 9,178 and a live gate of $907,116.

UFC President Dana White announced the figures at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) attended.

UFC 164 took place at Bradley Center in Milwaukee and featured a lightweight title fight between champion Benson Henderson and former WEC champ Anthony Pettis in the pay-per-view headliner. Pettis, in front of his home crowd in Milwaukee, beat Henderson again to take his title, just like he did at WEC 53 nearly three years ago.

The Wisconsin Boxing Board, which oversees MMA in the state, will verify the figures and is expected to release an official tally next week.

While the number of “comp” or free tickets was not revealed, the figures represent an average revenue of $98.84 per ticket issued.

Before UFC 164, the UFC’s first trip to Bradley Center, for UFC on Versus 5 in August 2011, drew 6,751 fans for a reported gate of $539,000.
