'UFC 163: Aldo vs. Jung' broadcast set with 13 fights, includes FX, Facebook


jose-aldo-27.jpgThe 13-bout lineup for August’s “UFC 163: Aldo vs. Jung” lineup is now complete, including broadcast plans for the evening’s pay-per-view main card and FX-broadcast and Facebook-streamed preliminary bouts.

UFC 163 takes place Aug. 3 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

Headlining the card is a featherweight title fight between current champ Jose Aldo (22-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) and “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung (13-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC). Aldo is ranked No. 1 and Jung is No. 6 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA featherweight rankings.

Rounding out the evening’s pay-per-view broadcast main card is Phil Davis (11-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) vs. Lyoto Machida (19-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC), Josh Koscheck (17-7 MMA, 15-7 UFC) vs. Demian Maia (18-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC), Cezar Ferreira (5-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) vs. Clint Hester (8-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and John Lineker (21-6 MMA, 2-1 UFC) vs. Phil Harris (22-10 MMA, 1-1 UFC).

As expected, FX features a two-hour “UFC Prelims” broadcast that now officially includes Vinny Magalhaes (10-6 MMA, 1-3 UFC) vs. Anthony Perosh (13-7 MMA, 3-2 UFC), Sheila Gaff (10-5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) vs. Amanda Nunes (7-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), Neil Magny (8-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) vs. Sergio Moraes (7-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Thales Leites (20-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) vs. Tom Watson (16-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC).

Additionally, another four fights stream on Facebook to start the night. That lineup includes Josh Clopton (6-1-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC vs. Rani Yahya (18-7 MMA, 3-1 UFC), Ian McCall (11-4-1 MMA, 0-2-1 UFC) vs. Iliarde Santos (27-1-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC), Viscardi Andrade (13-5 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Bristol Marunde (12-8 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and Robert Drysdale (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Ednaldo Oliveira (13-1-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC).
