Official fighter weigh-ins for “UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Silva 2? are slated for May 24 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The same venue then hosts the following night’s pay-per-view event, which features a heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez (11-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (18-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in the main event.
The first fighter steps on the scale at 4 p.m. PT, and doors open to the public at 3 p.m. PT. The weigh-ins are free and open to the public.
Prior to the weigh-ins, UFC Fight Club members are invited to a Q&A session with UFC heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier, who is coming off a win this past month in his UFC debut against Frank Mir. Cormier takes the stage at 2 p.m. PT, and doors open to members of the UFC’s official fan club one hour earlier.
In addition to the evening’s championship headliner, UFC 160 also features a heavyweight contenders bout between Junior dos Santos (15-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC) and Mark Hunt (9-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC). Plus, James Te Huna (16-5 MMA, 5-1 UFC) meets Glover Teixeira (20-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at light heavyweight; T.J. Grant (20-5 MMA, 7-3 UFC) takes on Gray Maynard (11-1-1 MMA, 9-1-1 UFC) in a lightweight title eliminator fight; and Donald Cerrone (19-5 MMA, 6-2 UFC) fights K.J. Noons (11-6 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at lightweight. The night’s main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.
