UFC 157 Rousey vs. Carmouche Fight Card Coming Together; Tickets On Sale Friday

UFC 157 PosterThe UFC’s decision to immediately put newly crowned women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey into the UFC 157 main event slot against Liz Carmouche, putting Lyoto Machida vs. Dan Henderson in a supporting role as the co-main event, has raised a few eyebrows, if not sparked outright controversy.

None the less, the fight card, slated for Feb. 23 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., is coming together quickly with several bouts announced over the past couple of days.

Aside from Rousey vs. Carmouche topping the bill and Machida vs. Henderson, Urijah Faber is on the card, rematching Ivan Menjivar. Also joining the cast is Robbie Lawler making his return to the Octagon as a welterweight to take on perennial Top 10 fighter Josh Koscheck.

UFC 157 tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Dec. 21, with early sales already in motion for UFC Fight Club members and newsletter subscribers.

The current UFC 157 fight card:

-Ronda Rousey (6-0; #1 Women’s P4P) vs. Liz Carmouche (7-2)
-Lyoto Machida (18-3; #4 Light Heavyweight) vs. Dan Henderson (29-8)
