UFC CanadaLight heavyweights Chad Griggs and Cyrille Diabate on Wednesday were added to the UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit fight card slated for Nov. 17 in Montreal. UFC officials announced the bout via Twitter.

Diabate (18-8-1) was originally part of a UFC 154 bout with Fabio Maldonado, but when Quinton Jackson fell out of his bout with Glover Teixeira, Maldonado moved over to the UFC 153 card in Brazil.

Diabate has been on an up-and-down ride since he arrived in the UFC, alternating between wins and losses in his five Octagon fights. Coming off of a victory over Tom DeBlass at UFC on Fuel TV 2 in Sweden, Diabate will be looking to the fight with Griggs to try and build some momentum.

Griggs (11-2) stormed into Strikeforce in late 2010, defeating Bobby Lashley, and reeling off three consecutive victories before transferring over to the UFC. He fell flat in his Octagon debut, however, losing via submission to fast-rising heavyweight contender Travis Browne at UFC 145 in Atlanta.

Griggs vs. Diabate will be part of the supporting cast for the UFC 154 main event that pits returning welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre against interim champ Carlos Condit at the Bell Centre.
