Round 1:  Camoes moves in with a combination but Guillard moves away.  Guillard lands a left hand.  Camoes looked for a takedown but it wasn’t there.  Guillard jumps in with a left jab.  Camoes cloes the distance and gets the takedown.  Guillard immediately gets back to his feet.  He breaks free.  Guillard catches a kick by Camoes and lands a combination along the cage.  Camoes circles away.  Guillard stuffs a takedown and gets top position but stands.  Guillard secures a takedown of his own.  He moves to half guard and lands hammer fists.  Camoes reverses him with a minute remaining in the round.  Guillard tries to stand and Camoes gets to the mount position.  He throws big elbows.  Guillard scrambles free and gets to his feet.  Camoes throws a spinning kick and gets caught with a right hand.  Guillard dives on him and lands a series of strikes at the bell.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Guillard.

Round 2: The pace slows in the second round.  Guillard is waiting on the outside.  Camoes lands a leg kick.  Guillard begins to utilize his jab.  Camoes tries a spinning kick that misses.  He ducks under a punch and works for a single leg takedown.  Guillard fends it off.  They’re working for position along the cage.  Camoes goes for a trip takedown and Guillard gets loose and they’re back at distance.  Camoes moves in and lands a combination.  He works for a takedown and gets it.  Guillard sits against the fence and stands.  Camoes misses with a spinning elbow and Guillard gains top position.  He lands big shots.  The round ends and Guillard steals it at the end.   MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Guillard.

Round 3: Guillard bounces on the outside.  Camoes stands in front of him.  Camoes looks for a takedown but it’s not there.  He lands a front kick to the body of Guillard.  Guillard delivers a hard shot to the body.  Guillard jumps in with a jab.  Camoes answers with an outside leg kck.  Guillard works the body of Camoes.  Camoes continues to land leg kicks.  Guillard presses forward with a combination.  Camoes lands a solid right hand.  Camoes drops down for an ankle.  Guillard gets free.   Guillard switches his stance.  Camoes attempts a single leg takedown and gets it.  He rolls for a leg lock.  Guillard holds on while the bell sounds.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Guillard.

All three judges scored the fight 30-27 for Melvin Guillard.
