Joey Beltran and Stipe Miocic at UFC 136
After being in trouble in the first round, Stipe Miocic was able to handle former Strikeforce veteran Shane Del Rosario his first mixed martial arts loss.

The first round was almost all Del Rosario.  Del Rosario landed several powerful round kicks to the liver and a few hard left hands that made Miocic rethink keeping the fight standing.  Miocic scored a takedown late in the round but lets Del Rosario get up with a few seconds left.

In the second round, Miocic brought the fight to the mat once again and outworked Rosasio.  Miocic landed several hammerfists that cut open Del Rosario’s forehead and proceeded with a series of hard elbows and referee Yves Lavigne stopped the bout.

Miocic was awarded a TKO victory and the official time was just 3:14 of round two.  With the win Miocic moves his UFC record to 3-0 and his overall MMA record to an impressive 9-0.
