Round 1: Miocic moving straight in.  Del Rosario delivers a body kick.  Miocic lands a right hand.  Del Rosario lands a powerful kick to the body.  He delivers another.  Del Rosario is attacking Miocic’s lead leg.  Del Rosario presses forward with a combination.  He lands a straight left.  Miocic answers with a right hand.  Miocic is pressing the pace.  Del Rosario lands a kick to the body.  Del Rosario lands a big left hand.  Del Rosario lands a straight left hand.  They clinch along the cage.  Miocic pressing Del Rosario against the fence.  They separate. Del Rosario lands a combination.  He unleashes two head kicks that were blocked and Miocic gets a takedown and lands a big elbow.  Miocic lets him up.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Del Rosario.

Round 2: Del Rosario lands an outside leg kick to start the round.  Miocic lands a nice hook to the body.  Miocic gets a takedown and lands a solid right hand.  Miocic is in side control.  Del Rosario gets back to half guard.  Miocic lands a powerful right hand and stands over Del Rosario.  He drops back down into half guard and lands two hammer fists.  He peppers Del Rosario to the body.  Del Rosario is bleeding from his nose.  Miocic lands several elbows and advances to the mount position.  Two minutes remain in the round.  Miocic lands a series of elbows and the referee steps in to stop the fight.  Del Rosario stumbles to his feet after the stoppage.

The official time of the technical knockout came at the 3:14 mark of the second round.
