UFC 133 Evans vs. Ortiz Play-by-Play: Rory MacDonald vs. Mike Pyle


Rory MacDonald vs. Mike Pyle (welterweight)

Round 1: MacDonald out quick looking for strikes, and Pyle shoots in and gets a quick takedown. MacDonald works his way back up into the clinch against the cage, but Pyle forces him back down again. MacDonald pushes off and gets up and pops Pyle with a big punch. MacDonald looks for a guillotine, but Pyle escapes and MacDonald ends up on top of him on the ground. MacDonald gets off the ground for a few moments before jumping back down into Pyle’s guard. MacDonald ultra aggressive and absolutely blasts Pyle with punches. Pyle turtles up and can’t stop the onslaught as MacDonald stays on him and eventually the referee jumps in for the save.
