UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber Medical Suspensions, Both Champion & Challenger Need Clearance

Following an action packed night of fights at UFC 132, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has handed down the medical suspensions including potentially lengthy time off for the main event fighters.

Dominick Cruz, who won in the main event by unanimous decision, has to have his right hand x-rayed. If positive, Cruz then must be cleared by an orthopedist or he is suspended until 12/30/11.

His opponent Urijah Faber meanwhile has to have his right hand/wrist, right shoulder and chest x-rayed, and if positive be cleared by an orthopedist or he is suspended until 12/30/11. He is currently under suspension until 8/17/11 with no contact until 8/2/11.

Dominick Cruz must have right hand x-rayed, if positive suspended until 12/30/11 or until cleared by Orthopedic doctor.

Urjiah Faber must have right hand/wrist, right shoulder and chest x-rayed, if positive suspended until 12/30/11 or until cleared by Orthopedic doctor. Minimum suspension no contest until 8/17/11, no contact until 8/2/11.

Wanderlei Silva suspended until 9/1/11, no contact until 8/17/11

Dennis Siver suspended until 8/17/11, no contact until 8/2/11 due to forehead lacerations.

Ryan Bader suspended until 7/24/11, no contact until 7/17/11

Dong Hyun-Kim must have right orbital fracture cleared by an ENT or ophthalmologist or no contest until 12/30/11, minimum suspension until 9/1/11, no contact until 8/17/11.

Shane Roller must have right orbital fracture cleared by ENT or ophthalmologist or no contest until 12/30/11, minimum suspension no contest until 9/1/11, no contact until 8/17/11.

Melvin Guillard suspended until 7/24/11, no contact until 7/17/11 due to cut on lower right eye.

Georges Sotiropoulos suspended until 9/1/11, no contact until 8/17/11

Brian Bowles must have right hand x-rayed, if positive needs clearance by orthopedic doctor or no contest until 12/30/11, no contest until 8/2/11, no contact until 7/24/11*

Brad Tavares suspended until 8/2/11, no contact until 7/24/11 due to left eyebrow laceration.

Andre Winner suspended until 8/2/11, no contact until 7/24/11 due to facial bruising.

Anthony Njokuani must have contusion on lower left leg cleared by doctor or no contest until 12/30/11, also chipped right lower tooth.

Donny Walker suspended until 8/2/11, no contact until 7/24/11 due to right eyebrow laceration.
