UFC 131 dos Santos vs. Carwin Play-by-Play: Jon Oliv Einemo vs. Dave Herman

Dave Herman land a knee on John-Olav Einemo at UFC 131.

Round 1: The heavyweights start out with Herman throwing a headlock.  Einemo locks up with his opponent against the cage.  Herman avoids the takedown and both fighters get shots in during the clinch.  Separated, Herman deploys some leg kicks.  Herman lands a knee to the head when Einemo hangs low.  Einemo catches a Herman midkick and takes him down.  Einemo passes the guard and gets to side-control.  Herman uses the cage well and pushes Einemo off him.  Back on the feet, the fighters clinch and Einemo lands a knee then some punches.  The round ends with Einemo throwing a right hand then getting a quick takedown.

Round 2: Herman making some distance early with some front kicks, but Einemo pushes forward and lands some punch combinations.  Herman kicks his opponent’s back leg after Einemo tried throwing a punch, putting the Golden Glory fighter on his back.  Einemo pushes forward and lands some punches, but Herman comes right back and knocks Einemo down on his back.  He goes in to try and finish, but Einemo recovers.  Back on the feet, the fight is going back and forth with both fighters getting in their blows.  Herman presses Einemo and drops him with a left hand.  He gets on top of Einemo and lands several shots before the referee stops the fight.
