The Ultimate Fighting Championship just recently made UFC 131: Lesnar vs. dos Santos official for June 11 in Vancouver. They have also upped the list of announced bouts on the fight card to eight.

The most recent addition is a lightweight showdown between veterans Sam Stout and Yves Edwards.

Stout (16-6-1) will be making his first start since a win over Paul Taylor at UFC 121 last October. Though he lost the fight before that, Stout is doing well, winning three out of his last four fights.

Once considered the uncrowned UFC lightweight champion, Edwards (40-16-1) floundered around with various other promotions for years, waiting for the UFC to reinstate the 155-pound division. He returned with a win over John Gunderson at UFC Fight Night 22 last September and followed that up with a submission victory over Cody McKenzie in January. Edwards is a winner of three-straight and six out of his last seven.

The will fight in support of the UFC 131 main event showdown between former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and top contender Junior dos Santos, who are currently serving as coaches on season 13 of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
