UFC 129 Play-by-Play: Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida

Lyoto Machida and Randy Couture battle at UFC 129

Round 1: Couture leaps forward with a punch, but Machida moves out of the way. Machida tags Couture with a quick one-two combo as he comes forward. Machida with another good uppercut on Couture. Couture throws a big punch and Machida counters and tags Couture again. Couture tries to get a hold of Machida and again gets lit up with punches. Couture still pushing forward, but Machida is too elusive. Couture slips in and finally gets the clinch, but Machida gets out just as quickly. Couture ducks for another takedown, and Machida unloads a hard knee.
