Round 1: A few good strikes from Miller early and he looks for a takedown, but Marquardt sprawls out. Miller pushing hard for a single leg takedown and finally gets it against the cage. Marquardt posting looking to stand up, Miller still pressing on him and as Marquardt stands up he slams Miller down on the ground. Miller looks for a guillotine choke, but Marquardt slips out. Marquardt looking for punches from inside Miller’s guard. Marquardt maintaining position, but not doing any damage, so they are stood back up. Marquardt jumps forward and nails Miller with a straight punch, followed up by another big slam. Miller looks for a kimura from the bottom but time runs out.

Marquardt nails Miller with another quick combination followed up by a jumping knee, but Miller catches him and takes the fight to the ground. Miller looking to control Marquardt’s body, but he can’t stop him from getting up. Marquardt lands another big shot to Miller’s jaw. Marquardt has found a home for his right hand, almost every time he throws it, it tags Miller on the jaw. Marquardt then slips under and snatches a quick takedown. Miller looks for a guillotine choke, but Marquardt pops out. Against the cage, Marquardt nails Miller with short elbows.

Miller shoots in for a takedown, but Marquardt sprawls out, and he switches around and ends up in Miller’s guard. Not much action from the ground, but as Miller throws a few elbows from the bottom, Marquardt fires back with some elbows of his own. Marquardt peppering away from the top with quick lefts and elbows. The clock is ticking away, almost guaranteeing a win for Marquardt.
