Las Vegas’ premier amateur MMA promotion returns tonight, and the protege of UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey fights in the main event.
Marina Shafir (3-0), a frequent Rousey training partner and assistant coach on this past season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” takes on Tabitha Patterson (3-1) to headline the latest installment of “Tuff-N-Uff: The Future Stars of Mixed Martial Arts.” The show takes place Friday night at Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. MMAjunkie’s John Morgan and MMAjunkie Radio’s George Garcia and Brian Garcia provide play-by-play and commentary for the event.
The card is available as an online pay-per-view for $9.99. The first fight takes place at 7 p.m. PT local time (10 p.m. ET).
In addition to the 12-fight all-amateur card, Tuff-N-Uff will honor founder Barry Meyer, who will be named chairman emeritus followed by a special tribute observance. Meyer died in October.
Widely recognized as one of the sport’s premier amateur fighting organizations, Tuff-N-Uff’s events continue to attract top talent from across the nation. Tuff-N-Uff has seen the likes of Shonie Carter, Jon Fitch and Aaron Riley compete under its banner, and recent entrants include the famed bloodlines of the Couture and Mir families.
Tickets for tonight’s Tuff-N-Uff event, which start at $25, are available at the Orleans box office or online at OrleansCasino.com.
