Tim McKenzie and Jordan Smith Headline Saturday’s Showdown Fights: Shootout

PRESS RELEASE:

Salt Lake City, UTAH – Showdown Fights returns to the UCCU Center in Orem on Saturday, April 16 for a pair of highly anticipated fights featuring a mixture of veteran fighters and highly-touted prospects.

In “Showdown Fights: Shootout” main event, former UFC and WEC fighter Tim “The Wrecking Machine” McKenzie (12-8) and Jordan “Mata Ele” Smith  (15-1) will face off in welterweight action. Only one of McKenzie’s 20 professional fights have reached the judges, and he’ll be looking to rebound from a losing effort to former Ultimate Fighter star Seth Baczynski in December. Buchholz looks to return to his winning ways in the “Showdown Fights: Shootout,” while Sharp will be looking to improve on his win over Brad McRae at “Showdown Fights: New Blood.”
